| vividplanet is owned by professional travel photographer and author, Steve Watkins. After leaving the University of Warwick, Steve initially spent a few years working in marketing before setting off on a ten-month mountain biking trip from New York to Chile. This epic trip inspired him to pursue a career in travel photography and writing. His editorial and commercial work over the past 12 years has covered a wide range of areas, from his speciality subjects of travel and outdoor sports to corporate, interiors, tv location shoots and studio-based product shots. When he is not behind the lens or at the office, his favourite passions are mountain biking, skiing and adventure racing. Steve has competed in two Eco-Challenges, in Borneo and New Zealand and was race director for the UK's first winter adventure race, the Red Bull Northern Exposure. |
